The best venue for a blind date?

Which of the following would be the best venue for a blind date?

1) Fast Food Restaurant

2) A high class restaurant that provides privacy

3) A bar / pub

4) Club

5) A mid class restaurant that doesn't provide privacy. , something like a "dai chao" / 大炒 restaurant

6) Others, please state the venue and why you chose it.

Please mark your choice and leave your comments about why you made that choice.

You guys may be wondering what inspired me to made this post. Well, it was about a friend's experience.

Recently, the friend's parents set up a blind date for this friend. This friend initially was insistent to meet elsewhere other than McDonald's . Unfortunately, the person this friend was going to meet don't think so. In the end, this friend gave in to this person's request and meet up in McDonald's and ordered NOTHING while having a chat in McDonald's.

I was like, I know meeting in McDonald's is a bit of cheapskate. What?! Throughout the whole date, didn't order anything?

The friend went, "The person said, the I chose McDonald's because they don't charge you for even for just sitting there".

Maybe due to person's work background in the finance sector, he became such a cheapskate, or he just plain stupid. Either way, that's what inspired to write this post.

So.. please leave your comments about your choice and why you made that choice.

Lucky

hello,

let me introduce you to my auntie's dog. Cute little dog. We've adopted this dog almost after my grandma's passing last year. It just so happened that my cousin had this little dog and couldn't take care of it and passed it to my auntie.
Little puppy looking up at me.
Close-up of little puppy.
It looks so cute, feels like want to cute his little nose. :)

Now, the puppy has grown so much in a short time. I'll post up the photos of grown dog when I got some. :)

Oops ! I did it again.

Just found out I've stopped blogging for around 2 months liao. :P

Seremban Trip

Here's the continuation of the Seremban trip that I went the other day.

Since my friend and myself is too lazy to drive to Seremban, we took the train from KTM Nilai station. The air cond wasn't working well, so there was no proper ventilation. So you can imagine lah what scent that went through my nose lah. (yes, it is not pleasant)

Once we reached Seremban KTM station, we walked to Seremban Parade took tea.At this Seremban Parade food court which looks really really deserted. (Possibly due to fasting month).
Then, we walked to Terminal One Shopping Centre. I had fond memories of this place, I used to go there a lot when I was studying in Nilai. That's where I get my regular supplies of PC games.
We stopped by at this "CoolBlog" for a Yam drink. The drink is just okay but a too sweet for my taste. That's all for my Seremban trip.

Weird but true

About like two days ago, I suddenly thought of a certain ex-colleague of mine, he used to be purchaser in my former company, LLA. I don't know why I thought of him, I was thinking of calling him up but I didn't what to talk to him about.

Then, out of the blue, he called me yesterday. It was really surprising. I was caught off-guard.

But, it was quite freaky as well.. but had a little chat with him. Just like old times :)

Broga hill , I came, I saw, I conquered

Veni, vidi, vici

Well , about a month ago. A colleague of mine suggested we take a hike to Broga Hill (茅草山),being a first time hill climber, I was of course a bit.. erm.. misinformed. So, my colleague, Alex was kind enough provide me with a guide to Broga Hill climbing.

First of all, one should bring a backpack with some of these items:
a) 1.5 litre of water
b) face towel
c) snack bar
d) Mosquito repellent

Secondly, you should bring some spare clothes to change once you get down from the hill.  (There are actually 4 peaks on this hill)

On the way up the hill, we saw a lovely lady with her dog ( I have no idea what breed is this).

Just before we went up the first peak, we took a photo (well, excluding myself. haha)

Look at how crowded it was, we actually have to wait at the bottom for the people on the top to come down, so that we can go up.

Looks like she's climbing a peak eh?  Actually she's on top of some rocks. haha

(failed ) goofing pose around a bit.

We finally reached the peak (4th and final peak). There's another hill which like 3 KMs away , I can't remember the name anymore.
Interesting rock.

Goofing around again.

A shot when going down hill.

The Broga Hill sign which greets climbers.

On the way to our car, we saw an old couple who are rubber tapper. Some youngsters decided to give rubber tapping a try.  Here is one of them.

More to come,.......

Br...... hill

I climbed a hill recently. Here's a view on the way to one of its 4 peaks. This hill is located in Selangor. will reveal more.. will keep you posted.

Today I just found out that the sister of one blogger friend, is my colleague. Well, my company is actually quite good. It spans from Selangor, KL and Penang. So, even though we are not exactly in the same geographic location, we still belong to the same company (or some sort like that lah, or for the sake of this blog. I just pretend we are somehow in the same company la.. bwoahaha).

Happy Chinese New Year!

To all who are celebrating Chinese New Year,

Happy Chinese New Year and have a healthy new year ahead. No matter how much wealth you have, it's no use when you don't have the health to enjoy them.

So, spend a great time with your family and close friends but don't forget about your health.

Putrajaya Night Marathon. badly organised...

So, I was on my way to Putrajaya to show my China friend around Putrajaya. So I took the turn to Putrajaya (the one which you see Lim Kok Wing University College) and head to Bulatan Putrajaya. While on the way heading over there, I noticed there were cones at the left lane, but it doesn't  seem like the left lane is closed . Those cones were not really far apart, but some might not be visible due to the there roads going high and way (for a lack of a better word).there were no reflective signs, no signs with BIG FONTS. (only signs with white background and fonts you probably need get so near that you'll knock the sign down when you get close enought to read it) All along this stretch of road, I hardly see anyone guiding the motorists to stay away from the left lane (only until the turn into heading to BIG roundabout of Putrajaya Shangri-la roundabout.there were 2 guys waving flags.)Then I noticed there were people "jogging" by the side of the road, then only I realised today was the Putrajaya Night Marathon (I read about it but almost forgot).
Thank goodness I didn't run over anyone ( to find out about this,phew.. touch wood).

To their credit, the work done near Alamanda Putrajaya was much better. The cones seems to be closer between each other, but still there was no (red and white stripes) ribbons between the cones, making the motorists wondering what were the cones for. Someone probably knocked these cones because they didn't noticed it (I saw one or two by the side of the road).

But still, I still think the Putrajaya Night Marathon organizers would've done a better job. There were also no reflective clothing for the marathon participants.  Some were wearing blinking lights (doubt were from organizers, since only a number of them wearing it).Proper signage (BIG FONTS on reflective surface), cones which are more visible or ribbons tied between each other, should be placed to prevent motorists to cut into the marathon lane. (Were there budget cut right before the event? one can only tell).

Since the Bulatan Putrajaya is off limits to vehicle, I took my friend to Plaza Mercu Tanda. Then I saw this!!!
Click the photo for the clearer look. The branches of the tree were chopped down and left there. What an eyesore, not just to the locals but to the tourists as well. The Putrajaya park management should've done something about this. This just totally drop Putrajaya Garden City's image by a notch. I think they forgot to add a "Clean" between Putrajaya and Garden.Putrajaya Clean Garden City.

Malaysia, I think you still have a long way to go.

LEGION .. it sucks ....ooooo..

I watched this movie on my birthday and seriously it sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks x infinity. The story talks about Angels start to possess humans when God no longer has hope on humanity. But one Angel decide to disobey God in this case, which sort of makes the premise of the story. A pregnant woman's child will become savior of humankind. How this woman became pregnant with this child was never explained, why this child was the savior was never explained.  But, on the other hand, if you like explosions (even just a brief moment), there was lots of explosion in the middle of the movie, LEGION should be for you. But SERIOUSLY, if someone told you this is a movie that is NOT to be missed this year.
SAVE IT!!!!!!!! SAVE YOURSELVES from this DISASTROUS MOVIE and SLAP THAT BASTARD SILLY! You should spend your HARD EARNED money on some other movie / something else.

To top it off, LEGION suffers from bad editing. Sometimes you don't even where the story starts and it just abruptly ends. It's like.. oh yea.. "we have budget for this , that, this , that. ooops.. we ran out of budget, let's end it now"-kind of crap. There was a certain scene where 2 MALE angels were talking to each other and fighting, for a while you thought you were watching 2 GAYS trying to attract each others' attention. yes. LEGION is that bad.

As a final reminder, NEVER EVER WATCH IN CINEMAS, you will scream profanities ,wondered why did you bothered in first place and wasted your 100 minutes of your life to watch this crap. Even mowing the lawn is more interesting than watching LEGION. YES, it is that crappy.

SO. DON'T WATCH LEGION in the MOVIES! NEVER DO THAT IN THE CINEMA!!!!!!!!!!! How many times did I mentioned it was bad again?  don't say I didn't warn you.

Is it their fault? or is it mine?

Whenever you walk to a restaurant / kopitiam / coffeeshop, you have a certain expectation from it. If you're on the move, of course you'll probably take in whatever shit (eg. crap food, crap service and etc.) they throw at you.

But, if you're not, then this is what I'm going to talk about. When you enter a restaurant / kopitiam / coffeeshop, you expect it to be different than what you experienced at home. Be it food, service (what kind of service at home?.. haha), environment and etc.

For myself, I think the most important thing of a restaurant, or any eateries, is the FOOD. If the FOOD is good, then service SHOULD be good as well. If the FOOD is just nice , then at least the service should be better.Usually, most eateries does have wide variety of food to order from. Some of these items might be listed as their specialty as well. So, maybe you've wanted to be the adventurous and decided to ordered something else different from the others. Let's say you ordered something that is not specialty and the food sucks. So, whose fault is that anyway? Is it theirs or yours?

It's their fault because the item was on the menu. If the item was listed, it is their duty to produce something that is delicious. If it sucks, why bother putting on the menu?

It's your fault instead because you wanted to be different. You wanted to see what else they are capable of.You thought since their specialty is good, probably other items listed in their menu should be just as good as well. But, no. It wasn't and you paid for the price for not trying out their specialty.

So, when someone introduced you to an eatery, do you order what you like (not necessary their specialty)? or what is their specialty?

Interesting topic to discuss about.

欢喜地 (The Mines)

as promised. ( a long time ago), here are some photos of 欢喜地 in THE MINES (Shopping Fair).

The food is good. I liked the Udon noodles, there are a wide variety to choose from. I hope the next time I go, I'll try something different again.

Stir-fried udon noodle with prawn (黑椒虾仁乌冬面)(at that time, July 2009, costs RM 8.30). Tastes good. Recommended, full of black pepper spiciness.

Smoked ham and cheese focaccia ( 芝士熏烤焗香饼)(at that time, July 2009, costs RM 5.50)

Egg in boiling milk (鲜奶滚蛋) (at that time, July 2009, costs RM 3.00). Only had a slight taste of the yolk, heavier on the milk side. more like drinking milk, but very interesting drink.

This is what "Egg in boiling milk" supposed to look like.

Corn, sago and herbal jelly dessert (双米奶油龟苓高羹), too sweet for my taste.

Hmmm..  I don't see the sago seeds from the dessert, as seen from the menu.  haha.

F1 2009.....Malaysia , Sepang

I know it's a bit late. but yea. last year was the first time I went F1. It was a great experience.
But, I've also learned a lot of things on the way.

1) F1 is a cut-throat event, everything is SO BLOODY EXPENSIVE.
even a sandwich costs RM5! What The HECK?! . Even ear plugs costs like RM30?! a BMW backpack costs RM300. yea man. gimme a break. We paid for shit-crap-muddy-oil-palm car park. The organiser should've done a better job since this is a world-class event. PTUI!! sucks I rather parked further away but drier place (eg. by the side of the road).

2) Always get there very very early. I didn't realise F1 was such a big event and so many people went. We casually went around the time it was going to start. It probably stuck in the jam for around 1 hour after the KLIA exit and that brings to be the 3rd item. then it rained too! so I probably just watched for like 20 minutes or so then waited for the rain to stop.

3) Try as much as you can, clear your bladder on your journey to F1 circuit. I was trying to hold my bladder as much as I while , hoping that I can finish my business among the oil palm trees but the thought people seeing me doing that makes me think twice about it.

4) Don't ever pick up / send someone to LCCT on the day of the event. (well, I'm not doing that, but that serves as a lesson for other people). Seriously, we were stuck literaly for ages on the road. I was wondering could we even make it before the race ends. (lol)

5) bring a binoculars. SERIOUSLY, bring one unless you have grandstand tickets (yea, keep laughing, you spoiled kids, whatever.) The screens in Sepang Circuit were so small when compared those of in Jalan Bukit Bintang.

here some photos to do the talking.

That's me and my dearest. Despite the grin of my face, I'm actually trying to hold
my "water tank" so that it won't bursts.

My friend , W rushing to toilet after we got down from the car.

The crowd in Hillstand (erm I can't remember which).

Taking photos while everyone is gone.
(after the race was cancelled due to heavy rain. wasted by tickets, damn it)

where should I start..

It's a bit late now, but happy new year. This year I spent my new year of all the places, in a car. I was actually on my way to Pahang when the clock struck 12 o'clock.

I find celebrating new year in a car quite lame. but , what the hell. there's always a first time for everything.

About the title, I realised that I've saved up a lot of photo and yet posts them up. I think it's about time I do something about them .

:)

the equation between headlights and raining

I was driving to work last friday morning when it was drizzling. Even though it was drizzling, I turn on my headlights, because I want to people to see when they're trying to overtake or at least keep some distance away from me. But, what I noticed is that probably 4-5 out of 15 cars / lorries (cars and lorries / trucks combined) I see on the road, turn on their headlights. However, probably 8 out of 10 motorcyclists, turn on their headlights.

Does it mean the motorcyclists value their life more than the drivers? or the drivers think they're driving a tank to work? SERIOUSLY. TURN ON YOUR LIGHTS when it's raining. I don't mean the tiny weeny lights , just turn them ON FULLY. You won't just save someone's life (from he/she knocking into you) and but also yours (the result of knocking into you).

It's your life out there on the road, and someone's else.Life is short, value your life. TURN ON YOUR DAMN HEADLIGHTS when it's RAINING. It'll save you and other motorists / road users.

Annoyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's quite rare for me to talk about work. Being in IT support job, well I'm not exactly a helpdesk staff (I'm actually a web programmer), it's not that you'll always being pro in your area. Sometimes you have to be in the know about your colleague's job area. It's not really a must but it's good to know. Because it's that he or she is not there to solve his or hers end users' problem all the time. Sometimes he or she may take a leave. so,it's good to learn up not because to cover their back side, it's also good for your own knowledge.

But, what if?. that someone you work with don't share his or her knowledge with you. He'd rather kept it to himself (probably till the day he dies?). So when he's on leave, what do you do? you can email him (too slow, maybe he doesn't check mail when he's on leave), text him(slow because he doesn't check this messages all so often), call him(the best solution, if he/she picks up, you'll get an answer immediately). Naturally, calling is the best choice. But , he doesn't picks up. So you'd call again. then again. then again . probably every f**king single hour. but still he doesn't picks up. So you'd wondering if your colleague is dead. But, no. HEY PRESTO! he comes to work as usual the next day.

The same thing happened to me more than once,so what do you do with this of colleague?
1) Inform the boss about the colleague's behaviour
2) Ignore him and try to work around him as much possible
3) Make a big racket and get him fired
4) Any other suggestions?
