It's more than a month

It's been more a month's time, I haven't been updating my blog. Lazy fella I am. Will try to blog soon.

For the September to November, I've been working, working , working, attending wedding dinner one after another (until I got really fed up. no offence. to those that I'm going to attend), open house, farewell dinner and etc.

Taken CCNA exam and failed it. Going out with ex-colleague and friend, watched Quantum of Solace (damn shitty movie, at least Max Payne was better) , Madagascar 2 (very funny movie, didn't watch the 1st) and Max Payne.

Met an ex-collegemate, had lunch with him , listening to him bragging talking about NGV and about his working experience. very enlightening indeed, makes me feel grateful about my job.

That roughly sums up what I did for that long period that I'm not blogging.

MaN|acZ signing off.

Cheerio!!

Chipsmore... sekejap ade. sekejap takde.

Hello people,

I guess still got people read my blog la. I've been "missing" for quite some time now. That's because I was "out" of Internet for about 2-3 months b'coz my satellite Internet not working a.k.a. down. After that, I finally got streamyx service.which is much cheaper and so far quite reliable. SO FAR la. I don't know what is going to happen in the future. hopefully they don't screw up like my previous Internet provider did.

Anyways, I've been busy as well. Reading other's blogs while not updating my own.mwahhaahh.. Attending weddings, attending farewell dinners and lunches, going places. eg. Cameron Highlands.Changed new phone. Changed my prepaid to postpaid. Working. All kinds of stuff.

Well, now I'm back. I should be blogging "actively" again.

ta ta.

it's the 4th day

I reached home safely on 30th April 2008 around 7.30pm or so. Left Ipoh around 3.30pm. Drove around 110km/h b'coz scared kena speed trap. I think I kena-ed b'coz I saw there was speed trap after Prai heading to Penang, I was going at 120km/h. Anyway just wait for the summon to arrive, I'll just check online later.

Meanwhile, I joined my new company on 5th May 2008, incidentally also my sister's birthday. Happy b'day! It's the 4th day I'm at the new company. I'm still trying to get used to the new environment. I've dealt a lot with people in my previous company, and it seems I'll be dealing a lot with machines, so that's one thing I need to get used to. Other than that, there were not much issues in this company so far.

Well, I hope everything goes well for me.

damn kan chong.

I finally reached my last day in my current company . WOOO HOoo!!!!! I was having a hard time because the management was playing mind torturing me a lot of mind games when closing in my last few days. It was really very torturing experience. I felt like I wanted to skip work everyday.

Fortunately, things turn out well in the end (phew). Now I got around 1 week's time to rest and recharge myself before reporting in on 5th of May in the new company.

well, what I'm kan chong about is the new company. Actually not, hahah. It's more about driving back from Penang. I'm sending my dearest back to Penang. She'll keep me company on the way to Penang, but from Penang, I have no one else myself. Since it's the first time I'm driving alone back from Penang, I'm kinda nervous about it.

Hope everything goes well for me. *cross fingers* *PRAYS hard*

Penang Umno to recommend stopping all state mega projects

GEORGE TOWN, Thurs:

Penang Umno will recommend to the Federal Government to stop all proposed mega projects in the state, include those planned under the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER), the second Penang Bridge, the light monorail transit system, the Penang Outer Ring Road, the Penang Sentral and the RapidPenang bus service.

State Umno secretary Datuk Azhar Ibrahim said the previous Gerakan-led state government had worked together with the federal government to bring all sorts of development to Penang.

"Since the people have clearly rejected development and made their choice for a change, we will recommend to the federal government to cancel all such projects. Don’t blame us for this," he said after a state liaison committee meeting here today. In March 8 polls, Umno only won two parliamentary seats and 12 state seats.

The meeting was chaired by the deputy state Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Rashid Abdullah. Also present were Umno division chiefs from all 13 divisions.

Asked if this was Umno’s revenge, Azhar, who was appointed opposition chief, said: "This is not revenge…it is the new government's responsibility to bring development to the state. We have done so many things in the past but we were criticised…we were blamed for wasting this and wasting that.”
To another question if this would bring about any implications to the people, he said: "The people have chosen and they wanted a new leadership."

Comments:
"Since the people have clearly rejected development and made their choice for a change, we will recommend to the federal government to cancel all such projects. Don’t blame us for this,"<-- you gotta be kidding me, "rejected development?" I think it's more like "rejected corruption" from BN cronies.

Asked if this was Umno’s revenge, Azhar, who was appointed opposition chief, said: "This is not revenge…it is the new government's responsibility to bring development to the state. We have done so many things in the past but we were criticised…we were blamed for wasting this and wasting that.”
To another question if this would bring about any implications to the people, he said: "The people have chosen and they wanted a new leadership."<-- I think UMNO just manage tarnish their own image even more by saying it's not a revenge. In the end, the people will even compelled NOT to vote for UMNO for the coming election. UMNO just dug their own grave way before they are due. how stupid are they.

On the other hand, according this blog entry, the mega projects seems to benefit the UMNO cronies. So, then again it's a good idea to stop all of them as well.

PKR,DAP,PAS are smart enough to find their way. UMNO just being a childish trying to cry foul at others when they had their time prove themselves, they chose not to.

In the end, it was still the "right"(subjective to your political leanings) choice to vote Barisan Alternatif (BA).

Old Chang Kee curry puff

On the same day that I had my lunch in Bar B Q plaza, my friend told me to give Old Chang's Kee curry puff a try as well. The above is a photo taken from OldChangKee.com. The curry puff itself costs RM1.50. Though it may sound quite expensive for your average curry puff. It's packed with potatoes as well as egg.. EGG!!.. ooh yeah... When you buy 6 of them , you'll get 1 FREE!! That's RM9 for 7 curry puffs. It was so good I had 2-3 of them. Really nice. (Sorry, I can't get a good picture of inside)

The package of OldChangKee.
Old Chang Kee is actually franchise founded by a Singaporean which had humble beginning like any entrepreneur I guess. Here's the story how it all started. According to the website, Old Changkee was awarded the Singapore Promising Brand Award and also the Singapore Heritage Brand Award in 2004 and 2005. Not bad at all .

Well, so far there's only 2 outlets in Malaysia: One in 1utama, another in BB Plaza. While most of them are located in Singapore. Here's a lists of their outlets. The 1utama outlet is located at lower ground floor, it's along the way to the food court of 1utama old wing. Shouldn't be hard to find. So, if you do stop by 1utama, or BB Plaza. You should give their curry puff a try.

Update:
here's the best photo that I manage take after.. "opening up" the curry puff.
Sorry. that's the best I can get. :(
If you guys have a better photo, do let me know, :P

Update: it seems I have been getting a lot of hits from people looking for Old Chang Kee curry puffs. Blog readers, don't be shy, share your Old Chang Kee curry puff experience at the comments section. There's a new Chicken Mushroom Onstik.Any of you guys tried out yet?

Bar BQ Plaza

After waiting for like aeons to update my blog, I finally took the time to sit down to blog properly. and It's also my b'day today.

Why I didn't blog for so long, because I'm too lazy busy. :P

About a fortnight ago, after watching Rendition in GSC 1u(more on that in another post), we went to Bar-B-Q plaza for lunch. The steamcooker for the Bar-b-q.
Chopsticks and bowl used for eating.
Instructions on how to cook!!!!! (Well, you haven't seen these in any
steamboat restaurant before right?, not for me at least. The way to cook is actually place the lard on top of the cooker. Then , it will be followed by pouring in the soup after the lard is cooked. Then you can proceed to put in the barbeque ingredients , eg. pork, seafood, beef that you ordered.
Lard (pork fat) used for cooking.
The ingredients to mix with the barbeque sauce. On the top left is garlic, followed by lemon, chillies. The bowl, of course is the barbeque sauce.
Barbeque sauce. MIXED with the ingredients.

The Supreme pork set that we ordered for RM29.90. Ok lah. Looks quite a lot for around RM30.
Green tea tau fu RM4.Nothing special about it.
Hot honey lemon.RM4. The honey is sweet but just nice with the lemon. Definitely a must order in Bar-Bq plaza.
Red bean squash. RM4.My friend ordered this. Taste quite good too. Also another must try in Bar-Bq plaza.
The barbeque cooker with just the veggies. I'm not sure if we're supposed to cook the cabbage slices (very thin) because they are placed at below all the veggies and meat. or they are just part of the garnishing? Nevertheless we just shove everything to the cooker. The barbeque cooker with just the pork.

The black pepper udon noodles. Not spicy enough to my taste but still okay.

Altogether this meal costs us RM58.50. Just a little shy of RM60, although I'm not DAMN full but I think is satisfying meal.

Note: 1) Always take up the meat as soon as it's cooked, meat won't tastes very nice/tender
when it's overcooked.
2) Always soak the meat in barbeque sauce. ALWAYS. it tastes better.
